Mio (Mitac International Corporations GPS Navigation brand) develops and markets products which enable users to take advantage of the latest developments in mobile services. The brand was established in May 2002 and now has operations in Taiwan, mainland China, Europe, North America, Australia, Japan and South Korea. Mio developed and released the first GPS-integrated PDA back in 2003.
Mio currently employees 1,200+ employees worldwide and sells and markets its products in over 47 countries and territories.
It is Mio’s, prediction that mobile life and mobile business will be the main-stay of life in the future. | With integrated GPS antennas becoming commonplace, the engineers at Mio TechŹnology Limited tackled another problem facing GPS users: the size of digital maps. The solution was simŹple but not easy to do they added a hard disk drive. The first product with this feature, Mio DigiWalker 269, was a dedicated navigation device for frequent travelers that made digital storage of large maps, meŹdia files, and even photos, possible. Using WindowsŽ CE software, Mio DigiWalker 269 provided a simple-to-use interface, giving users the freedom to travel without bulky or hard-to-read maps. |
